Welcome to the MOVIE pages! These pages are dedicated to reviewing movies that tend to slip by unnoticed: independent, foreign, and low-budget films. Mixed in with these films are reviews for more common movies that I wrote for The Daily Texan and The Rice Thresher, the student newspapers of the University of Texas and Rice University.

My name is Peter Debruge, and I come from Waco, Texas, a city that now boasts a 16-screen megaplex that shows these types of films. For the most part, the films you’ll find listed below are movies that never made it to Waco screens, some of which never even appeared on video store shelves in Waco. If you live in a larger city and have the opportunity to rent any of these videos, check out my reviews. If not, I hope these reviews will show you what you’re missing.
